Kazuto Okada's manga "Mysterious Girl S" and "Things That Textbooks Don't Teach!" are adapted into live-action

It has been eight years since Kazuto Okada's manga "Mysterious Girlfriend S" (すんドめ) ended serialization in the youth manga magazine "Young Champion" (Akita Shoten). Recently, the official announced that it will be adapted into two movies, "Mysterious Girlfriend New" and "Mysterious Girlfriend New 2", and followed by the news that "Things That Textbooks Don't Teach! 3" and "Things That Textbooks Don't Teach! 4" will also be released.

"Mysterious Girl S" was adapted into a live-action movie in late 2007, directed by Daigo Udagawa. The film's edge-of-size scenes caused a lot of controversy, and the quality of the film also generated some controversy. This time, the film is adapted again, directed by Kazuhiro Yokoyama, who directed "The Diary of a Couple", and Miss Young Champion Nagisa Odajima plays the heroine Kurumi Hayakana. We will wait and see what kind of work they will bring.

"Mysterious Girlfriend New" is scheduled to be released on April 22, 25, and 27, and "Mysterious Girlfriend New 2" is scheduled to be released on April 24, 26, and 28 at the HUMAX Cinema in Shibuya, Tokyo, so that both films can be watched consecutively.

The manga "Mysterious Girl S" was serialized from 2006 to 2009, and 8 volumes were published. This work tells the tortuous and confusing story of pure love between high school boys and girls, and is one of Okada Kazuto's well-known works.

The live-action movie adapted from another work of Kazuto Okada, "Things That Textbooks Don't Teach!", which was announced when the first and second parts were released in June last year, will also be released this summer. They will also star Ryouma Baba and Ayaka Morikawa, who played the male and female protagonists in the first and second parts, and the director is still Shota Sasaki, who directed the first two parts. It seems that there is no information about the first two parts yet.

The original manga of "Things That Textbooks Don't Teach You!" was published earlier than "Mysterious Girl S". It was serialized in "Young Champion" from 1995 to 2002, and was adapted into an OVA in 1998. It was also made into a TV series "My Teacher" by KBS in South Korea in 2007. Those who have read the original work must have an impression of the delicate inner thoughts and hilarious dialogues.
